Michael has been working in the theatre for longer than he cares to remember.
He is a director, teacher, singer, designer, producer, actor, floor-sweeper and toilet-bowl-cleaner extraordinaire.
When he is not in a theatre, he can be found lake-side at his cottage, reading a book.
Not afraid to roll up his sleeves, Michael is pleased to be able to bring his experience to Theatre by the Bay, especially with regards to our
Shakespeare to the Classroom program.
He would like to welcome everyone to our exciting 10th Anniversary Season!

For the past 27 years Michael has worked at /A\ Television in Barrie. He had the opportunity to nuture and promote new musician/songwriters with his music series, UP & COMING. His producing credits also include the “POP-umentary” on Barrie’s own vocal group, VIP, the live TV presentation of the opening of the MacLaren Art Centre and the national children’s program, Rogers New Reality that featured art, adventure, new musical performers and environmental issues. Michael has produced and directed over 80 music videos and hundreds of commercials.
For the past 13 years Michael has been serving on the board of directors for the Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival.
Currently, as Promotions Supervisor at /A\ Television, Michael is thrilled he has the opportunity to lend a promotional hand to many of the arts and performing arts groups, cultural groups and many of the deserving charitable organizations in the region.
Though playing hockey is still a passion, Michael says, “I’ve been witness to the steady growth and maturing of our arts community and how it has greatly enhanced the quality of life for our families.”
