At Theatre by the Bay there are many different membership levels that can suit any contribution.

Our box office is located in the heart of downtown Barrie at:

and is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
During the months of July and August the box office is open 9 am to 5 pm 7 days a week.

For our 2008 season Theatre by the Bay's Main Company show
Glorious! and Young Company show
Cinderella's Summer Adventure, will be presented at the MacLaren Art Centre, 37 Mulcaster Street in Barrie (across the street from City Hall at the corner of Collier St. and Mulcaster St.).
The Intermediate Company's presentation of
A Midsummer Night's Dream will be performing in one of Barrie's fine parks yet to be determined.
The annual Stars Come Out Event will be held once again at the Gryphon Theatre in Georgian College, 1 Georgian Drive, Barrie.
How do I get to the theatre from Barrie, Toronto, Orillia?
The MacLaren Art Centre, (where Theatre by the Bay's Main and Young Company presentations are being presented), is located at 37 Mulcaster Street across from Barrie's City Hall at the corner of Collier St. and Mulcaster St.

Take Hwy 400 North to Barrie, to the Dunlop Street East exit, then left onto Mulcaster Street. The building is at the corner of Mulcaster and Collier.

Take Hwy 11 South to Barrie, take the Bayfield Street exit, turn left on Bayfield, then left onto Collier Street and right on Mulcaster St. The building is at the corner of Mulcaster and Collier.

What are the dates and times of the shows playing?
Main Company - Glorious!
- August 7th to August 29th, 2008
- Every Monday through Saturday at 8 pm with 2 pm matinees on August 16th, 20th, 23rd and 27th.
- Pay What You Can date on Monday August 18th at 2 pm with the proceeds going to the Actor's Fund of Canada.
- No performances on Sundays.
Intermediate Company - A Midsummer Night's Dream
- July 10th to August 1st, 2008
- Every Tuesday through Sunday at 7 pm with additional Thursday matinees at 12 noon.
- No performances on Mondays.
Young Company - Cinderella's Summer Adventure
- August 10th to August 29th, 2008
- Mondays and Saturdays at 10:30 am, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 12 noon and 3:30 pm, Sundays at 2 pm and 7 pm.
- No performances on Wednesdays.

- This show takes place in one of Barrie's fine parks so we suggest bringing a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic basket.

How do I pay for my tickets?
You can pay for your tickets at the Theatre by the Bay box office at 55 Dunlop Street East, Unit 1 in Barrie or over the phone by credit card. We accept Visa and MasterCard. You can also reserve your tickets through our box office at 705.735.9243 and pay for them at the venue.
How can I get my tickets?
You can pick up your tickets at the Theatre by the Bay box office at 55 Dunlop Street East, Unit 1 in Barrie or reserve them over the phone and pick them up 15 minutes prior to the performance at the venue.
Is there a service charge when I pay by credit card?
Yes there is a $1 service charge fee for using a credit card to purchase tickets.
Is the theatre wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the MacLaren Art Centre offers wheelchair access with ramps and an elevator.
What is the policy regarding children?
Babes in arms are not permitted as they may cause a distraction to the audience and actors during the performance.
All of Theatre by the Bay's shows however are to be enjoyed by a family audience with special mention for our
Young Company show where children's participation is encouraged.
What is your exchange policy?
There are no refunds or exchanges after a ticket has been purchased.
Will latecomers be admitted?
Latecomers will be admitted during an appropriate break during the performance escorted by one of our ushers.
It is preferred that patrons are punctual as being admitted late may cause a distraction for audience members and cast.
Where can I park?
There is street parking available on Mulcaster and Collier streets in addition to two city parking lots.
The smaller of the two lots is located on Mulcaster directly across from the MacLaren Art Centre on the southwest corner of Collier and Mulcaster and the larger lot is located across Collier Street from the MacLaren on the northeast corner.
Parking is free after 6 pm in Downtown Barrie.
What is your policy for Bus tours?
Bus tours receive a special group rate which varies from show to show. Contact Erica Angus at the Theatre by the Bay box office at 705.735.9243 to arrange a bus tour group to attend one of Theatre by the Bay's performances.
The organizer and bus driver receive complimentary tickets to groups that have over 10 people.
When is your STARS COME OUT CONCERT?
The Stars Come Out Event takes place on Monday April 21st, 2008 at the Gryphon Theatre, 1 Georgian Drive, Barrie.
