2014 Season

City of Angels

The Tony Award winning musical

Music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by David Zippel
Book by Larry Gelbart

City of Angels

A disillusioned crime novelist adapts his latest novel into a screenplay as his marriage falls apart. At the same time, we see the adventures his characters, presented as if in a black-and-white film.

City of Angels is two shows in one. It is the interweaving of two plots, one dealing with the writing of a screenplay in the legendary Hollywood of the '40's; the other, the enactment of that screenplay.
