Maria
Lucy is thrilled to be adopted into the Theatre By the Bay family to perform in Glorious.
Being cast Hispanic is not foreign to her, Lucy is, in fact, a first generation Italian-Canadian who speaks four languages: Italian, French, Spanish and English and has enjoyed performing professionally in a variety of roles for film, television, radio and theatre over the last 22 years.
Some of the theatre work Lucy is most proud of is:
Mambo Italiano (Waterloo Stage), part of the ensemble in
Ciao Baby,
A Modo Suo and
House of Bernarda Alba , (all for the Canadian Stage).
In Los Angeles, her favourite role was a Mexican Juror in
Twelve Angry Women.
Also, close to her heart, was playing the Nurse in
Romeo & Juliet while attaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance at York University.
Lucy is also a high school Drama/English teacher, a director, a writer and mom. Some of the principal television roles she has been seen on are:

After clicking her heels together several times and chanting 'there's no place like home', Brigit finds herself back onstage in Barrie after 30 years! ( Thanks Larrisa for bringing me home).
Brigit graduated from Central in '78 and went to the University of Windsor for her B.F.A. in Drama. Since then, she has worked at the Shaw Festival , Skylight Theatre, the Grand Theatre, Blyth Festival, Jimmy Dean Productions, M.T.C., and Mirvish Productions. Brigit did the play
Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean twice, 16 years apart and was nominated for a Dora the first time around.
And she did the play
Orpheus Descending at 3 different theatres and would do it again if you asked her to.
Brigit has spent 5 seasons in the Stratford Shakespeare Festival company and was Lady Chiltern in An
Ideal Husband, the Courtesan in
The Comedy of Errors and one of the women of Belmont in
The Merchant of Venice last season.
She has appeared in numerous commercials, films and t.v. shows, including 4 seasons as Harriet Sims on
The Campbells.
Stratford has been her home since 1988 with husband Antoni Cimolino, son Gabe, daughter Sophia and various pets.
St. Clair Byfield
Robert has worked as an actor, director, producer and musician in theatre, opera, concert, film, TV and radio in Canada, England, Italy, the United States, India and Egypt.
Recently Robert was in Torino, Italy to direct and conduct a scene from Donizetti’s LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with singers from the Teatro Reggio. He returned to Toronto to portray Abraham Lincoln in the world premiere of A MORE PERFECT UNION and then played Anton Rubenstein in the premiere of TEMPEST MOON.
Career highlights include his acclaimed portrait of British playwright David Hare in the premiere of VIA DOLOROSA, the title role in William Luce’s BARRYMORE and Norman in THE DRESSER (First Stages Theatre), Potiphar in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT (Theatre Aquarius), Lazar Wolf in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Drayton Entertainment), Henry in TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT (Manitoba Theatre Centre/Grand Theatre London), Geoffrey in STEPPING OUT (Stirling Festival Theatre), Manny in MASTER CLASS starring Jackie Burroughs (National Arts Centre/MTC), Franz Liszt in THE GREAT ROMANTICS (Hamilton Place), Mr. Needham opposite Barbara Hamilton in NO SEX PLEASE, WE’RE BRITISH (The Variety Theatre), Jesus in THE PASSION PLAY (Teatro di Roma, Italy), and his one-man show THE SIGHTS & SOUNDS OF THE RAJ (The Windamere: Darjeeling, India). Robert spent eight seasons at The Victoria Playhouse Petrolia as actor, associate producer and director. Here he co-starred with Trevor Bannister (of British TV’s Are You Being Served?) in the Canadian premiere of CAUGHT IN THE NET. Robert created the lead roles in the world premieres of Sam Bobrick’s THE CRAZY TIME and REMEMBER ME? He starred opposite Heath Lamberts in the Canadian premiere of Neil Simon’s OSCAR & FELIX: A NEW LOOK AT THE ODD COUPLE. He also played leading roles in DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER, LEND ME A TENOR, DEAD WRONG and THE LAST RESORT. In 1998 he was honoured with the prestigious COO Award for his portrayal of John Barrymore in I HATE HAMLET. He directed the critically acclaimed production of IT HAD TO BE YOU and was assistant director on PERFECT WEDDING, LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS and the music director for COWGIRLS. For VPP he directed THE FOURSOME and COWGIRLS at Stage West Calgary.
Film and TV appearances include DOC, STREET LEGAL, DUE SOUTH, TRADERS, TOP COPS, FOREVER KNIGHT, E.N.G., GOOSEBUMPS, FRAGGLE ROCK, THE CAMPBELLS and MARVEL COMICS’ “THE AVENGERS”. He was Mr. Radcliffe on ROAD TO AVONLEA where he appeared with Faye Dunaway and Maureen Stapleton. He played opposite Jon Favreau in ROCKY MARCIANO for MGM. In the CBS mini-series I’LL TAKE MANHATTAN he played Harper opposite Julianne Moore, Jane Kaczmarek, Barry Bostwick and Valerie Bertinelli. Appearing with Kenneth Welsh, Joss Ackland and Richard E. Grant he portrayed Robert Crowley in the CBC docu-drama series ABOVE AND BEYOND.
Currently he is Artistic Director/Producer of First Stages Theatre Company and Associate Producer for StageEnt Inc. Robert was a founding Board Member of The Performing Arts Lodges of Canada, an original member of Supporting Cast and a member of Performers For Literacy.
Ms. Dorothy
Jill appeared in her first musical
Oklahoma at age 13 and hasn't left the
stage since! Theatre credits from the West coast include Eliza in
My Fair
Lady, Marion in
Music Man, and Valencienne in the
Merry Widow. Jill spent 3
seasons with the Vancouver Opera Touring Ensemble as Musetta in
La Boheme,
Gretel in
Hansel & Gretel and Josephine in
Pinafore! She was nominated for a
Jessie award for her performance in
Dueling Divas, which she also
co-wrote.
Jill was a guest soloist with the Vancouver Chamber Ensemble, the
Kelowna Symphony and recorded a Valentines Day vocal program for CBC.
Jill spent 2 summers with the Charlottetown Festival doing a myriad of roles
in Anne of Green Gables,
Encore! and
The Great Adventure.
Jill joined the
Phantom of the Opera Touring Company and subsequently the
Toronto cast and moved to Toronto in 1994. In 1996 she was in the original
cast of Ragtime.
In 2006 she played Susan in the premiere production of Simon Joynes farce,
Animal Magnetism and in 2007 appeared in her first Fringe show ,Time bomb!
For Drayton Entertainment Jill has played Fermina in
Man of La Mancha,
Rachel Lynde in
Anne of Green Gables and this season will be playing Mrs.
Eynsford-Hill in
My Fair Lady.
Jill is currently on the vocal faculty at The Randolph Academy for the
Performing Arts and has recently done some voice teaching at Sheridan
college. In her spare time Jill practices yoga, studies Flamenco and bakes!
Cosme McMoon
Corey is excited to be a part of the Theatre by the Bay family. He has been a featured soloist/songwriter on many charity CD compilations and has released a solo CD "Broken Vow".
He has performed for the NAC, The Senate, and on CBC Television.
Corey holds a B.F.A. in music from York University with a focus in music composition where he composed for film, chamber, and musical theatre projects.
He has written the film score to The Great Fear for Twenty Four Film Productions, has had string works performed in York Composer Concerts, and completed his first original musical JOYS OF 24 currently being work shopped.
With certificates in honours in piano, voice, and music theory from the Royal Conservatory of Music; Corey is an active private piano and voice teacher.
Corey has been the musical director for the Upper Canada Repertory Company for
Macbeth:Reloaded,
A Midsummer Night's Dream, and next season's
Romeo and Juliet. Favourite Acting Credits include: Teen Angel-
Grease, Harry Houdini-Ragtime: The Musical, and Freddy Eynsford-Hill -
My Fair Lady.
