Artistic Producer
Larissa is the Artistic Producer for Theatre by the Bay, where the mandate is to bring affordable professional theatre to beautiful downtown Barrie.
She has been involved in the arts on many different levels for over 20 years.
Larissa also heads the Film, Television and Theatre Division at Jigsaw Casting Ltd. in Toronto, and has a great team of people working for her.
She cast the YTV hit Family Biz, as well as the critically acclaimed show The Bridge for CBS & CTV and the Feature,
The Corridor.

The Tall Man starring Jessica Biel, the new CBC comedy series
Insecurity, Feature Films, Berkshire and Proximity, as well as the highly anticipated series Life with Boys from the co-creators of Hannah Montana.
She is also thrilled that they have announced the second season of The Bridge.
Larissa co-founded Theatre by the Bay in 2001 with her husband, Nick Baillie. Theatre by the Bay has produced many wonderful Shakespeare shows as well as musicals that she is extremely proud of. She is very excited for the 2010 line-up The Taming of the Shrew, as well as the Young Company production of Aladdin and Jasmine's Summer Adventure.
A special thanks to all the sponsors, her family, the volunteers and members for all their support and time. She is also very thankful to the board of directors for their hard work in helping bring such high quality theatre to the community. Matt is thrilled to once again be a part of Theatre by the Bay's awesome summer line-up.
Having collaborated with Larissa, Glenn, and Marty last year on Peter and Tinkerbell's Summer Adventure, he is hopeful that this year, Aladdin and Jasmine will be delight audiences all the same.
Matt has been acting professionally for the past 15 years and is now expanding his horizons towards writing as well.
He is currently enrolled in George Brown College's screenwriting program and is using the tools he learns there to develop his own television series.
Much thanks to Larissa for yet another great opportunity and he hopes you enjoy the show!

Composer
Glenn has been a part of every aspect in the entertainment industry.
His vocal group “V.I.P.” or
Voices In Public, has performed all over the world to audiences of thousands.
They have won a 1999 Canadian Radio Music Award for Best New Group and a 2000 Genie Award for Best Original Song.
Glenn co-wrote V.I.P.'s biggest song "Just My Luck" which ended up in the Record's top 20 year end CHR chart in Canada and also penned "One Thing To Say" which took home a Genie Award (the Canadian Oscar) in 1999.
He has had numerous cuts on projects across Canada, totalling sales in excess of 150,000 units.
Glenn is a general partner of V.I.P.’s record label VM/Popular/EMI, and for
After Tuesday, his new country vocal group’s label ATP/Royalty Records.
“After Tuesday” has released their debut country CD and which has charted nationally at country radio.
They are currently writing for their sophomore release in 2010.
Glenn, being also a music producer, is currently working on a project with the up and coming country vocalist Derek James Tilley and has four cuts on newly released record in 2009. Derek is making waves in the industry hitting number 1 on country charts on itunes for his first single "Do You Have To Walk In the Rain" and and hit number 11 of all country music on itunes for his full CD. He is also excited about working with and producing edgy singing country sensation Stacey Jamieson, who is to release her album later this year.
Glenn’s TV appearances in Canada include, Mike Bullard, Canada AM, Vicki Gabereau, Muchmusic, YTV Hit List, and he is a co-host on Rogers TV Daytime, just to name a few. In 2002 he was cast in a leading role in Disney’s The Music Man starring Matthew Broderick, in 2005 he was cast a leading role in the YTV/Disney TV series Monster Warriors co-starring Sean Cullen. In 2006, Glenn lent his vocal talents to the hit animated show Postcards From Buster, playing the lead character Carlos currently in its' third season and more recently Glenn landed the lead role as villian "Tigrr-Jaxxon" in the new animated series Blip schedule to air in 2010.
This will be Glenn’s second year composing music for the Young Company presentation by Theatre by the Bay. He hopes everyone enjoys the songs as much as he’s enjoyed writing them. A big thank you goes to Larissa and Erica being the driving force behind this wonderful company and of course his co-writer and friend Marty Beecroft for contributing his talents once again to this great production.
Musical Director
Born in Maryland and singing ever since, Edwina sports ARCT's in both teaching & performance.
Adjudication, private voice lessons, accompaniment and live performance are her cup of tea.
Edwina has directed numerous music productions over the years and was the creator of
Bravado!
Summer/09 included Edwina enjoyed her role as musical director for Theatre By the Bay's Young Company production and Edwina now happily marks her sixth season with Theatre By the Bay's Young Company in their summer 2010 production of Aladdin and Jasmine's Summer Adventure. Current music directing projects include Evita (KCP) and Beauty and the Beast (Moving Art). Edwina formed Marmalade in September, 2006, and loves the collaborative role she plays as director/singer/keyboardist within this unique vocal team.
Assistant Director/Choreographer
Carla has been teaching dance for over 20 years in such cities as Toronto, Hamilton and Barrie.
She has choreographed many musicals including
Gypsy, Fiddler on the Roof, Seussical the Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar and Big, the Musical (which she received the THEA award for Best Choreographer).
Carla has been honoured to be the choreographer for all of Theatre By The Bay's
Young Company shows.
Currently, she is a dance educator in the Barrie area as well as an elementary school teacher for the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. Her company, Moving Art, is growing in its 8th year and she loves being able to help people discover their passion for the arts. Carla looks forward to working with everyone on such an exciting project!!
Costume Designer
Christine is delighted to be back for her second season with Theatre By the Bay.
She is a graduate of the
Theatre Program at York University where she studied Set and Costume Design.

In addition to a career in theatre, Christine has recently ventured into the classroom and is currently teaching in the Simcoe County area.
Technical Director
Vince is happy to be returning to Theatre by the Bay for his fifth season.
Outside of Theatre by the Bay, Vince works as a technician at Markham Theatre and for Tekwurk Productions.
Vince works with many different community groups as a stage manager and a lighting designer.
Vince is glad to be joining the cast and crew of Theatre by the Bay again this season, and is looking forward to a fun and enjoyable summer.
Stage manager
After graduating from
Georgian College Medical Office Admin, and venturing out west to work as a medical administrator at the
Saskatoon Cancer Centre, Tonya returned home to her roots to pursue her lost love of performing within the arts.
She is thrilled to be returning to Theatre by the Bay to Stage Manage, after 6 years when she played ‘Britney’ in TBTB’s
Robin Hood the Musical.
Some of her past theatre undertakings include: Land of Make Believe (Moving Art), Hannah Montana Tribute Artist (Sphere Entertainment), School's Out (Casa Loma and Delawana Inn), Jack the Twisted Musical (Moving Art), Anne of Green Gables (SST), Robin Hood and Cinderella's Magical Castle (Casa Loma), just to name a few.
She has also got the chance to expand her performing by landing the role of ‘Suzie’ in two episodes of YTV’s Monster Warriors, and her biggest accomplishment thus far, was playing the lead mean girl ‘Samantha Canon’ in the first ever YTV original movie musical King of the Camp.
She would like to thank Larissa and Nick for always supporting, believing in her and opening her eyes to this ‘whole new world’. Here’s to a great summer and enjoy the show!
