Theatre by the Bay is a Canadian not-for-profit charitable organization (Charitable Registration No. 884323114RR0001) based in Barrie, Ontario.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us through forms — name, email, phone, and message content.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — email address and the page or campaign you subscribed from.
  • Ticket purchases — processed by our third-party ticketing partners (see below); we do not store your payment card details.
  • Donations — processed by Zeffy; we receive your name, email, gift amount, and Canadian tax-receipt information.
  • Basic analytics — non-identifying page views and device/browser type to understand what visitors read and improve the site.

How we use it

We use your information to fulfil your ticket order, deliver donation tax receipts, send the newsletter you subscribed to, respond to your inquiries, and understand which pages and productions are of interest. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run parts of our operation. Each provider handles your data under its own privacy policy:

  • Ticketing partners — Five Points Theatre and Gravenhurst Opera House box offices for their respective venues.
  • Zeffy — donation processing and tax receipts.
  • Email delivery — provider used to send newsletters and transactional messages.
  • Website hosting and analytics — used to serve this website and understand aggregate traffic.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (such as remembering form state) and for aggregate analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Retention
