About the Show

It's 1940, the first anniversary of Canada's entry into World War II. The dynamite factory in Nobel, and the vital east-west train route above downtown Parry Sound, were considered prime targets for sabotage. Brash Edna Watts is determined to become president of the Citizens Defense Committee, hatching a comical and misguided cat-and-mouse game to catch the spies — and learning a great deal about herself in less than 24 hours. Inspired by an actual rumour that enemy spies were in Parry Sound during the Second World War.
